the heat has not ended, and doesn't look like it will any time soon. that terrible heat where you aren't even cool 5 seconds after you get out of the shower. gross. anyway, we're dealing the best we can. i updated the site a little, worked a little, and had a nice lunch with the replacement producer for the boss who's on vacation. this morning when i got my shirt out of the closet and i saw all the baby clothes sitting there ready to be worn, a beautiful smile reached my face. i can't wiat for this child to come into our lives for real. i love the fact that we can play now, kicking and punching me back, but i cannot wait to hold him in my arms and kiss his head and start being a daddy!

later tonight is the goodbye party for steve, the engineer on duty. probably won't see him for a while after tonight. he's great fun easy to work with and i'll miss him the most i think out of all the people i've met at that bar. he'll be back eventually, but who knows when?

last night we met a couple from seattle, terribly american. after 10 days in italy, and 3 days in rome, they just had to have mcdonald's. i couldn't believe it. talking non stop about how they can't wait to have their starbucks when they get home, and how the couldn't understand why starbuck's or dunkin donuts wouldn't work in rome. whatever. for some reason though, i didn't want to stop talking with them. the couple we met the night before was much cooler and much more down to earth. they were from l.a., orginally from brooklyn. they never came back though. our luck, the seattle one will return tonight...
